TMCA Weekly “Crack the Case”

Cat WorkBy Hiral Jasani

The Thunderbird Management Consulting Association (TMCA) in association with the Thunderbird Associations Partnership (TAP) is launching Weekly Case Study Sessions. The ‘Crack the Case System’ by David Ohrvall that we use supplies you with the frameworks you need to solve the case studies. A student-led initiative, these sessions will help you build a toolbox of capabilities that will expose you to consulting case interviews. Initially used primarily by management consulting and investment banking recruiters, the case interview is becoming increasingly popular in other industries such as Marketing and Finance.
Consulting Case books that we will use for our case discussions:
1. Crack the Case – David Ohrvall
2. Case in Point – Mark Cosentino

What to expect?
• Individual vs. Group setting
• Imperfect/incomplete information
• Interviewer holding back information
• Think quickly on your feet
Most typical case interviews:
• Market Sizing
• Business Strategy

When: Tuesday evenings – 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: Snell 23
Starting: Tuesday, Sept 25th, 2012 (Weekly)
