Asia Regional Night
Saturday, April 6th, 6:30 – 10:30 pm, TAC (Thunderbird Activity Center)
It’s that time, the final Regional Night of the trimester is upon us! Come out and welcome to the stage the Asian Regional Clubs as they dazzle you with a night of incredible performances.
Doors will open at 6:30pm in the TEC to a delicious spread of regional tastes as well as beer and sodas. Enjoy the music of Global Sounds from 7:15-8:15 and then the stage will be full of performers from 8:15-10:30pm.
So come out, bring your family, and have some fun!
Alumni Mixer at the Pub
Tuesday, April 9th, 5:30 – 8:30 pm, Thunderbird Pub
Haven’t been able to make it to a First Tuesday event for valuable networking in the area? Well don’t worry, the Thunderbird Phoenix Alumni Chapter is coming to you!
There will be drink specials and free appetizers at the event, so be sure to stop by and make some new friends and connections.
We will also have a 10 minute presentation from a group that is starting an incubator/accelerator program here in the valley dedicated to helping students gain experience and creating jobs; www.introitsys.com is their website.

Ice Cream Social

Second trimester got you down? Wanting to get out of the classroom and into the sun? Do you just need a nice delicious treat?
Presenting TSG’s first Ice Cream Social! We are inviting you, our fellow students, faculty, and staff, to come out under the Pavilion on Tuesday, April 16, to enjoy some great ice cream and beautiful sun rays. It should be a great break from the regular droll days this time of year.
1st Annual Mr. Thunderbird Fundraising Contest
Friday, April 19th, 8:00 – 10:00 pm, Thunderbird Pavilion
What is it?: Attention students, don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of the newest Thunderbird tradition! The TSG is hosting the Mr. Thunderbird Fundraising Contest for the class gift that is also a great opportunity to have another memorable and unique experience while at school. The contest will feature a group dance, fashion show, talent show, and Q&A. You will be judged by select members of TSG, Administration and Faculty.
Enter and represent yourself, your club, region or anything. Don’t miss out on this fun event!
How to Apply: All gentlemen on campus are welcome to apply to be a contestant. Applicants must email a brief, max 100 word, explanation of why they think they are a good candidate for Mr. Thunderbird to Reid Drossos (rdrossos@global.t-bird.edu) by April 5th at 5:00 pm.
How to Qualify: Each contestant will have to raise $100 by April 19th in order to enter. $100 is the minimum entry, but we encourage contestants to raise as much money as possible and there will be an additional prize for raising the most funds.
What is at Stake: As if being crowned Mr. Thunderbird, with all the respect and admiration attached to the title, isn’t a high enough honor, the victor will also have his name engraved on the Mr. Thunderbird Plaque that will bear his picture until he is dethroned in the next competition. The plaque will be prominently displayed at the Pub.
TSG Summer 2013 Election Information
Mandatory Meeting- April 2nd, 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Snell 23
Those of you who will be taking classes in our Glendale campus during the Summer, this is for you! Elections are being held only for the positions of President and Vice President. If you wish to run for elections, please attend the mandatory meeting on April 2nd, 1 PM to 2 PM at Snell 23. All required information will be presented there. Please note that an absence from that meeting will disqualify you from running for the elections. Subsequently, voting starts on 11th April and voting ends on 15th April. Chair applications will be available from the 15th April.

Missing electric guitars!
The Global Sounds are missing 3 electric guitars. These guitars are the school’s property and were generously donated for the Global Sounds to use at school-related events. If you have any information about these guitars, please contact Sarah Irby at sarah.irby@global.t-bird.edu
We want to thank you for stopping by the TSG table in the Commons to give us your feedback and make a note of the questions you would like answered by the school administration or us. We are happy to report that over the past 7 weeks, we have received close to 45 queries from the table alone, and that we close the loop on each one of them within 7 days! Please look through the attached issue tracker to find the responses to these queries. Also attached are the meeting minutes from our last two public meetings. Thank you again for bringing these things to our notice! Please do continue to stop by, say hi and give us the opportunity to serve you better.
