On April 11th and 12th the Net Impact Club hosted its 3rd annual Global Citizen Forum. The event was established to provide a platform to discuss how business can be used for good. Stacey Goodman, the president of the chapter, along with Lindsay Mueller, Katie Emick, and Lauren Simkulak, a few of the club’s vice presidents, put on the event, which included 4 panel sessions, 21 guests, and over 150 participants!

President Penley and the VP and Chief Sustainabiltiy Officer at APS addressed students on Thursday night followed by a party at the pub. On Friday, panels discussed International Development and Micro-finance, Energy and Clean Technology, Social Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability in the Supply Chain. Many of the speakers were looking for interns and opportunities are still available.

 

Panelists included individuals from Dell, the Inter-American Development Bank, Grameen Bank, SEED SPOT, Green Business BASE CAMP, B Revolution, UgaBeads, Opportunity International, Kyocera Solar Inc., Ecova, Clean Tech Open, Intellectual Enerergy, Acumen Fund, Edunuity, Earth911, SVT Group, and ISM.
