Hello to all the amazing Tbirds from all over the world. Hope you had a great weekend.

I hope you all had a great time at the Americas Regional Night. It was definitely a very challenging regional night to set up because of the unusual weather but the team did a great job in pulling off an amazing event. Huge thanks to Juan Hidalgo and all the LABCC club members who helped the TSG in making the event possible. Special thanks also to all the Thunderplanners for all the effort that they did. Without all of them, the event would not have happened.

This was yet another one of those weeks where there were numerous events happening on campus. Add to that, we have many exciting new events coming in the next few weeks. To start with, we have the CMC International Students Forum being held on the March 4th, where we will get to hear about some job statistics and career tips. Once the CMC has shared these details, we will be having a student session, where T-birds will talk to you about how they attained their jobs or internship. As an international student myself, I personally feel this is going to be a great session to attend and to get concerns addressed.

Event: CMC International Students Forum
Date: Tuesday, March 4th
Time: 1:10 to 3:30PM
Location: LH 53
Please RSVP by THIS SUNDAY, March 2nd, 11:59PM

On a different note, we had our Coffee with A Cop event in the commons where we had 2 police officers from Glendale PD come to campus and talk to our student body. This was an initiative that was started in Fall 2013 and the intention behind this was to improve our relationship with the Glendale PD. It gives me immense pleasure to say that Glendale PD recognizes the effort that Thunderbird puts in to help the Glendale community and they find our school to be an amazing place. On the day of the event, we had several students stop to talk to the police representatives and get their concerns addressed. Many thanks to Chartwells for always being supportive of this event, every time it is held on campus.

Next, we have the Phoenix Super First Tuesday happening this week on March 6th. This is a great way to network with our amazing alumni network so please do make the utmost use of this opportunity.

What: Super First Tuesday!
Every first Tuesday in March, T-bird alumni from around the world gather to meet… come be a part of this exciting event!
Where: Montis La Casa Vieja
Transportation will be provided to the first 20 students who RSVP for the event.
When: Tuesday, March 6th
The bus will leave campus at 5:45 PM and arrive at the venue at 6:30 PM. The bus will leave the venue at 8:00 PM and will arrive back on campus at 8:45 PM.

Finally, I’m happy to inform you that ThunderCares will be happening on April 5th, this tri, and everyone is invited. This year we have several different projects, as well as some of our old favorites. We also want to invite everyone to participate in our ThunderCares T-shirt contest. What you need to do is design the new ThunderCares logo for this tri. It can be on the front or the back and you can play with the color of the t-shirt. All you need is to send in your design to Ale Fernandez (alefdzlynch@global.t-bird.edu) in high resolution by March 14th. The TSG will vote for the best design, and if you win, the school will be wearing your design on the day we give back! If you wish to include the Thunderbird logo, it cannot be altered in any way. Nor should the “bird” appear by itself.

As always, in case you have any concerns/suggestions/ queries, feel free to reach to me or any member of the TSG. Have a great week!
