Thunderbird students have taken the initiative to develop a crowd funding campaign to assist Thunderbird For Good’s Project Artemis in raising the remaining funds necessary to move forward with the program. For those of you who do not know about it, Project Artemis is a program that brings driven Afghani women to the school to teach them business and entrepreneurial skills to give them the tools to make a difference at home. Past projects have been extremely successful and the women in the program go on to do tremendous things for their communities. For details please visit the campaign site at igg.me/at/artemis . Show your T-Bird spirit by spreading the word or donating to the cause.

6.       Case Preparation Sessions

The Thunderbird Management Consulting Association will be hosting a series of events to assist you with case interviews. Case Preparation is about getting ready for the hardest of the interviews that you may face: the Case Interview. Just as behavioral interviewing has quickly replaced traditional interview questions, the case interview is becoming more common. It’s not just a consulting or marketing interview anymore, as it is becoming more common in other areas such as finance, supply chain, and operations.

 Case Prep Plan:

Monday November 3rd:  “Case Dismissed,” a Case Preparation workshop from 7pm-8pm in Snell 27. This will include an overview of the case interview format, a demonstration, and a short breakout session for participants to practice in small groups.

Weekly case prep questions will be sent out through emails starting November 5th for three weeks for you to practice on your own. Attractive prizes for students who can crack the case.

Monday December 1st: TMCA’s Final Case Preparation workshop including options for live case interview.

We look forward to your participation in these events!

7.       First Friday Feedback session moved to November 14th

Our next First Friday Feedback session will be held on November 14th (yes, that’s the second Friday J) from 11:30 to 1:00 in Honor Council Rooms 123. Students are asked to submit discussion topics in advance of the meeting so an agenda can be developed and the right people can be invited to the session. This is a great opportunity for students to meet face-to-face with Thunderbird administrators and faculty to share thoughts and concerns, and to have questions addressed.

Because only a few students have responded we are extending the deadline. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Torrey Mann,Torrey.mann@thunderbird.edu, by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7th  so she can order lunches and make sure the room is set up correctly.
