This is part of Das Tor’s ongoing series, “Club Spotlight,” in which different Thunderbird clubs describe their mission, goals, and why students should consider joining their group.
The Thunderbird Global Marketing Association (TGMA) is a brand new club on campus this semester. We have big plans and ambitious goals for the future of this club and would love for you to be a part of it!
No matter what your concentration is or what your career plans look like, marketing knowledge and skills will be essential for your future success in the workforce. Therefore, our club is open to everyone of all experience levels, from seasoned marketing professionals to people who are simply curious to learn more about marketing in general.
We would like you to meet our team! Each person has been instrumental in organizing this club.

Brendan Tanner | President
Why I chose to join the club: My bachelor’s degree is in Marketing, so when I saw that Thunderbird had a Marketing Association, I was eager to join! Unfortunately, the club had been inactive for a long time. I decided to get it going again along with some of my classmates. I’m very excited to see it grow!

Vanessa Escamilla | Event Planner & Club Engagement Director
Why I chose to join the club: I have no skills in marketing, but I enjoyed a course I took in my undergrad. In the last few years, there has been a change in the way marketing is done, and I am excited to learn these new skills. So, I decided to join and help restart the Marketing Association to a new way of doing marketing!
