From the Archives: A Look Back at Thunderbird History

Das Tor Staff

As we prepare to end the semester and look forward to the opening of Thunderbird’s new building in the fall, Das Tor wanted to look back at our history. This is a copy of the Das Tor issue from January 26, 1979. It discusses the legacy of the pub, the influence of Thunderbird, and gives a glimpse into what life was like for Tbirds at the time. It lets us remember our roots. We are moving into a new era as Thunderbirds, but we remember and honor our past. Das Tor looks forward to continuing to be the voice of Thunderbird as we experience all these new opportunities and changes together. We hope you enjoy this look back with us. This may be an issue that welcomed new students to campus, but let’s consider this a welcome to our new building and a new era as Thunderbirds.
