Meet the New Team Members at Das Tor

Das Tor’s team is expanding! We recently hired new members to our team and wanted to take the opportunity to introduce the talented individuals joining the Das Tor family. Read on to learn more about them and their backgrounds.

 Ayodele Adeola

Ayodele Adeola, Creative Director

“I am Ayodele Adeola, an innovator and serial entrepreneur with a knack for social justice and reform spanning over 15 years. As a life coach, writer, and motivational speaker, I believe that ‘The Pen is mightier than the Sword,’ and many battles can be averted if only we communicate more effectively. I am proudly African, a Nigerian with a love for Jollof rice, seafood, and snail meat (ask me how it tastes). As a first year grad student in Thunderbird School of Global Management, my concentration is Global Development and Innovation. My mantra of  ‘diversity and inclusion’ is greatly exemplified in Das Tor, giving us a unique platform to have global conversations that can positively impact our dimensions and change the world. It’s an honor to serve as Creative Director as I bring new ideas and perspective to our amazing team.”

June Lau Fei Wen, Podcast Director

“Salam sejahtera! (Peace and greetings to all!) My name is June from Malaysia, and I’m a first-year student at Thunderbird. The concentration that I am pursuing is Global Business with an expected graduation date in May 2023. Prior to coming here, I led the educational podcast series for the College of Emergency Physicians in my country. I found it to be an extremely fruitful endeavour, as it provided a platform for knowledge sharing as well as creating a greater outreach for our guest speakers. I am extremely excited to put on my creative thinking cap once again to usher the Podcast Team and Das Tor to greater heights. My vision moving forward is to create an inclusive, educational, and experiential platform that will benefit Thunderbirds globally.”

Sonia Elizondo, Podcast Reporter and Staff Writer

“I am a Mexican-American T-bird legacy student currently working on concentrations in both Nonprofit Leadership and Management and Global Business, with an expected graduation date of May 2022. As my undergraduate degree was in Creative Writing, joining Das Tor seemed like the perfect opportunity to both utilize my experience and continue to grow my writing skills. I can’t wait to share any and all amazing Thunderbird news with the world.”

Ashley Hernandez, Podcast Reporter and Staff Writer

“Hello everyone! My name is Ashley Hernandez, and I am from Mexico! I am in the Accelerated 4+1 Master of Global Management program. I will be graduating from my undergrad degree in Spring 2022 and from my graduate degree in Spring 2023. I am excited to be a part of the Das Tor community and work with so many diverse and talented people.”

Sakhi Gunvantsinh Solanki, Staff Writer

“Hi everyone! I am Sakhi Solanki, a second-year MGM student  graduating in December 2022 with a concentration in Global Digital Transformation. Having done my undergraduate degree in computer engineering in India, I have refined my cognitive and technical skills.  But I have always had a propinquity for stories and the art of storytelling. Being a closeted writer, I have wanted to venture out and bring all these unpublished and unheard stories to life. Das Tor provides me a platform to share my passion for storytelling and writing, and I’m excited to join this wonderful team!”

Brian Lee

Brian Lee, Podcast Reporter

“Hi everyone! My name is Brian Lee Ka Hung, and I come from Hong Kong!  I am a Spring 2021 student, so this is my second semester at Thunderbird. My concentration is Global Business and Global Entrepreneurship. I love to bring happiness to people and am currently running a podcast that aims to educate the public on the cannabis culture, which can be found here. Throughout my student life, I have made friends from all over the world and would love to continue to influence my global network through frequent interactions with students, professors, and entrepreneurs on Thundercast!”

Jonas Narh, Staff Writer

“I am Jonas Narh, a second-year MGM student with a concentration in Global Business. Born and raised in Ghana, I keep wondering about the mechanics of life and existence as a whole. In 2019, I realized that although it is mysterious, it is not inexplicable; that is when my decoding journey began. I love to share what I’ve learned, usually in the form of writing, and seek to help elevate the consciousness of humanity with my works. I am excited to write for Das Tor.”

Lejla Sabanovic, Staff Writer

“Hello everyone! My name is Lejla Sabanovic. I was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and raised in Arizona. I will be graduating in May 2023 with a concentration in Integrated Healthcare. I intend to join the non-profit sector, globally. Writing is a small part of me that I have always wanted to pursue, so joining Das Tor is the perfect fit for me.”

Jae Won Song, Staff Writer

“Hello everyone! My name is Jae Won Song, and I am currently a second-year student graduating in Fall 2021 with a concentration in Healthcare Delivery. I am originally from Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the states at a very young age. I joined Das Tor because I was a legacy student and read my dad’s past Das Tor articles from school and found interest in learning about global cultures from an early age. I would like to create my own legacy with Thunderbird through Das Tor and find passion and excitement when writing about all topics global and business!”

Diana Salas Diaz

Diana Salas Diaz, Strategic Advisor

“I am Diana Salas Diaz from Peru, and I am currently a second-year student graduating in Fall 2021 with a concentration in Global Affairs and Global Business. I have nine years of work experience in business strategy and customer care relationship management for multinational companies in Latin America and North America. I aim to forge connections in the world  that contribute to sustainable economic development; therefore, I am pursuing a career in the intersection between business and government.   I feel so honored and grateful to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with a meaningful and multicultural team like Das Tor 2021.”

Jagan Pandari, Marketing Director

Jagan

Hi everyone! My name is Jagan Pandari, and I am currently a first-year MGM student with a concentration in Digital Transformation that I started this past fall of 2021. I was born in Chennai, India, but immigrated to the U.S., specifically Arizona, at a young age, and I consider myself a Phoenix native. I have a background in Biomedical Engineering with around 3 years of experience, but I hope to merge my interest in innovation and business during my time at Thunderbird. Das Tor has such a rich history, and my teammates have a deep passion for weaving intricate writing pieces. I hope to properly showcase their talent as Marketing Director for the Thunderbird community.”
