“A mother’s love knows no bounds”

The Khmer Rouge regime was a dark point in Cambodian history. It was that estimated during the 4 year regime, over 2 million lives were lost. This is a poignant story of one woman’s courage, perseverance, and global mindset that allowed her to devise an escape for her family out of Cambodia, travelling halfway across the world and finally settling in the United States.

Join us as her son, Professor Sophal Ear, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Global Development at Thunderbird, recounts the tale of his mother’s strength and perseverance as we celebrate Women’s History Month during March.
