Thunderbird Rugby Sweeps ASU, UA

Thunderbird Rugby Club

The Thunderbird Rugby Club dominated teams from Arizona State University and the University of Arizona during a tournament Oct. 29, 2011, at the campus pitch in Glendale, Arizona. Thunderbird beat the ASU team 22-10 in the morning and then shut out Arizona 35-0 in the afternoon. The 23-and-under group from Tempe Rugby Club beat Thunderbird 28-3 and finished first overall in the four-team tournament. Thunderbird Rugby Club President Wells Thomas ’11 gave a sideline interview about the 2011-12 squad. Watch the video on YouTube below or on China’s Tudou.com (3:12):
