A video by Thunderbird MBA On-Demand student Ilaha (Eli) Omar ’12 has advanced to the second round for final judging in the MBA Challenge Video Contest sponsored by the Global Business School Network (GBSN). Omar’s video, “An Afghan in Africa,” received 2,254 votes from friends and classmates in the preliminary round. Overall, her video finished second among 12 entries in the preliminary round. “Helping Better in Haiti,” a video from the Charles M. Snipes School of Business at Lenoir-Rhyne University, finished first in the preliminary round with 2,357 votes.
The top five videos will be sent to a panel of judges for final scoring, and a winner will be announced April 30. Other finalists are from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Universidad de los Andes, and the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler.
