TSG Spring President (left) and Vice President (right)

Firstly we would like to take the pleasure in announcing the TSG spring President  Ms. Anisha Vinny and assisting her as Vice President is Anirrban Mukherjii.

The TSG Chair applications are still open and the deadline has been extended till December 4th, 12pm. Drop of your applications with your resume at TSG office or if you are off campus email the applications along with your resume to Torrey Mann (tsg@thunderbird.edu).  Anisha and Anirrban are looking for a spectacular team to work with only to enhance your student experience at Thunderbird.
To highlight some hot topics:

  • Toastmaster’s Fundraiser generated over $2,000 in donations! Charity goes to the non-profit: Food for the Hungry. Online donations close tonight.
  • Global Gala is from 9pm onwards on December 14th. Find the link to purchase tickets given below under Gala Updates.  Spread the word, and thank you for voicing your concerns.
  • Due to some minor issues with the Glendale police and fire departments after our last regional night, Chartwell’s will now have a doorman at the pub on Thursdays. More info below.

Next week’s update will have more on how Thunderbird will need your help to work with the community and build relationships nearby. Meanwhile, TSG would like to encourage you to have fun and be responsible. Our actions now, good or otherwise, resonate throughout our lives and careers.

Good luck with everything as you near the final stretch in the trimester.

Message from Chartwell’s
Due to recent complaints from the surrounding community the Pub will be introducing some new policies. Beginning Thursday November 29th 2012 during busy nights at the Pub (typically Thursday Nights, Regional Nights Etc.) the Pub will have additional staff at the front door. This Staff member will be insuring that Thunderbird maintains compliance with the City’s Fire Code, Noise Levels and Liquor Laws.  In addition, there will no longer be any live entertainment at the Pub until further notice.
Please assist the school with maintaining these very important regulations by remembering that:
– No outside beverages to enter the Pub,
– No Open Beverage containers to leave the Pub (including plain water)
– No one who is  intoxicated will be allowed entrance into the Pub.

GBSN MBA Challenge
Can an MBA change the world? The annual Global Business School Network video contest isn’t for several months, but students can start planning now on their submission. The contest allows MBA students to show how they’re applying their business school education to make a difference in the developing world.
In 2011, a group of Tbirds had won first place and were able to attend the GBSN conference in Mexico City! Here is a link to see this past year’s videos: http://www.gbsnonline.org/?page=videos_mbachallenge
