Congratulations to all the new students on finishing your first set of exams! You guys have shown great character and have successfully dove deeper into your programs!

A few updates for the week:

Americas Regional Night is here: On the 28th of September at the TEC, the first regional night of the trimester will be upon us and it is only getting bigger and better! First up, we’ll be showcasing the Americas region.

Pricing change at the Commons: Through “Ask TSG”, this issue was brought up during the TSG public meeting after which Chartwell’s decided to lower the prices. This is evidence to how seriously we consider “Ask TSG” requests.

Clinton Global Initiative Event: This event will be held on campus via a webcast on Tuesday, September 24, and Wednesday, September 25 in Auditorium 3. All students are welcome to attend the webcast. Hosted by former President, Bill Clinton, the 2013 Annual Meeting focuses on involving the right people and resources needed to drive effective action on global challenges. For more information please contact Cindy Yeager (cindy.yeager@thunderbird.edu). Please note, the webcast cannot be a reason to miss class!

Rebecca’s Student Group – Each year Rebecca forms a small Student Advisory Group to advise her on student sentiment, gather ideas and recommendations, and brainstorm ways to continue to improve the student experience. This group generally meets one Friday morning each month (usually at 8:00 a.m. with donuts or bagels). If you are interested in being a part of this group, please send an email to Michelle Olesen, michelle.olesen@thunderbird.edu. Please include a paragraph or two explaining why you’d like to be a part of this group and why you feel you’d be a good contributor. Meetings will begin in late-October.

Thunderbird Associations Partnership (TAP) Meet and Greet: Thunderbird Associations Partnership will be holding a TAP Meet & Greet next Wednesday, September 25 2013, 7 pm – 9pm at the Honor Council Room for students to interact with the TAP leadership team and to understand what TAP is all about. Light refreshment and beverages will be provided.

Also please stay tuned to hear more about the Student Competition that was announced during Dr. Penley’s townhall. We are getting close to finalizing the competition and will be announcing it very soon here on Das Tor! Exciting times ahead!

As always, please feel free to contact me for any queries regarding the TSG at nagarajuabhishek@global.t-bird.edu.

Regards,
Abhi.
