Hey T-Birds,

Hope you guys are having a great weekend. HAPPY EASTER to all of you.

We almost at the end of the trimester and I am sure that everyone must be knee deep in finishing the assignments and taking quizzes. At such times, I remember what Prof Dash had told our class just before we started our exam, “Don’t worry, the sun will rise again”.

So let me give you a gist of events that have been happened in the last one week. First, a big thank you to all the students who came for the regional night. It was a night with amazing performances and delicious food. A lot of students mentioned to us that they thoroughly enjoyed the performance. For many of the students this was their last regional night as students and that made this even a more special night for the graduating students. I have to commend Fiona Teerlink, Adam Gostel, Sabah Hussain, Aditya Kini and the THUNDERPLANNERs. The entire team managed the regional night to utmost perfection.

Next, the TSG has been working closely with the students of the Fall 2013 batch with regards to the concerns that were raised with some of their Finance courses. We have been working with the faculty and administration members in order to find a solution for the issue. The issue was brought to the TSG after the students from the Madrid Module came back to campus. Here, I would like to mention that the way the entire batch approached the situation was extremely professional. A special mention here to Mayank Sharma and Bassel Farran. Prof Washburn has been extremely helpful and we really appreciate that. We are still waiting to see how the courses would be made available to the students and once that is figured out, we will definitely send information out.

After the amazing Thundercares event we heard various reviews from the students. We will soon be sending out a feedback survey link to all those students who attended Thundercares. Please do take some time out and give us your feedback. It will help us improve and in turn have even better Thundercares in future.

Lastly, for many of us, in close to two week’s time we will be graduating and moving to next phase of our life. The memories that we have had in Thunderbird are simply priceless. While moving through the archives in the IBIC, we found that Thunderbird used to have Yearbooks. The IBIC still hold the yearbooks from 1951 to 1998. We wanted to revive and bring this tradition back. Thanks to the efforts of Soumya Sivadas, Sneha Vijay, Sneha Balasubramanium, Shaival Choksi and Abhishek Nagaraju, we have designed the Yearbook for the graduating class of May 2014. Within this week, we will have a link which the students can use to purchase the yearbook. All I can say is that the book looks simply amazing. Make sure to buy your copy.

With that, it’s a wrap from my side and as always, in case you have any concerns/queries/feedback for the TSG then do let us know. Make sure to LIKE us on our Facebook page and we will keep you informed about whats happening on campus.
