Das Tor’s team is expanding! We recently hired new members to our team and wanted to take the opportunity to introduce the talented individuals joining the Das Tor family. Read on to learn more about them and their backgrounds.

Uswa Ahmed – Creative Director

“Hi! I’m Uswa Ahmed, a first-year MGM graduate student from Pakistan, graduating in May 2023 with a concentration in Global Business. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a master’s degree in Museum Studies. Prior to joining Thunderbird, I worked as a museum curator in Pakistan. As Creative Director of Das Tor, I intend to provide and lead the team with a creative vision and direction through my diverse background and experience.”

Danae Bell – Social Media & Arts Director

“Hello Readers!

My name is Danae Bell, but please call me Dii.

My hometown is Washington, D.C., and I am a MGM student concentrating in Digital Audience Strategy who will graduate in May 2023.

Other than food and taking care of dogs, serving others is one of my greatest passions in life. I believe that all of us deserve to feel that our lives have value while we are on this earth. My endeavor to fulfill this calling led me to obtain a degree in Cultural Anthropology and Media and Communication. My focus now as an MGM student is to learn how to combine global experience and skills in media and arts in order to assist communities which ask for assistance. I look forward to connecting with you all in the near future and am glad to be a part of Das Tor.”

Panya Bhalla – Staff Writer

“Hi everyone! My name is Panya, and I am from India. I am a 4+1 student here at Thunderbird School of Global Management ASU, and this is my first semester as a graduate student. My concentration is Global Business and Global Digital Transformation. I have always been a fan of writing, and I am excited to join Das Tor as a Staff Writer. Looking forward to working with the team!”

Anna Eades – Finance & Events Director

“Hi everyone! My name is Anna Eades, and I’m a first-year MGM student from Atlanta, Georgia, with a Finance concentration.  In my new role as Finance and Events Director, I am most excited about working alongside such a diverse and talented group of members and hopefully helping increase Das Tor’s impact on campus through our events!”

Dominic Frattura – Project Manager: Thunderbird Portrait

“Hello! I am Dominic Frattura, a current 4+1 accelerated masters student at Thunderbird. I received my undergraduate degree in Business Global Politics from the W. P. Carey School of Business. In my free time, I love to meet new people and learn about their different walks in life. As an undergraduate I was a campus ambassador and represented the nation’s largest university (ASU) in the Undergraduate Student Government. Additionally, I am passionate about foreign affairs and recently completed an internship at the U.S. State Department. After school I hope to join the foreign service or remain working in my current role with the University President’s office at ASU. Looking forward to my next adventure as a Project Manager with Das Tor!”

Gurdeep Kaur – Vice Podcast Director

“I am Gurdeep Kaur, and I am a first-year student studying for a Masters in Global Management. I’ll be graduating in December 2023. I studied my bachelors in Business Management prior to my master’s degree in London. I am a very extroverted person and love to interact with people from all walks of life. I am very happy to work as a Vice Podcast Director, as it will give me an opportunity to share my thoughts with the Thunderbird community. I hope to diversify my outreach about people and am looking to work with everyone. I hope to make an impact with the help of this platform.”

Tanvi Koshy – Staff Writer

“Hi everyone, my name is Tanvi Koshy, and I’m from Mumbai, India.  I’m a first-year graduate student with a Global Business concentration. Prior to coming to Thunderbird, I spent a couple of months interning in Singapore, three years working in e-commerce companies like Nykaa and Amazon in India in the marketing team, and I spent four years in California doing my undergraduate degree. I’ve always loved writing and sharing snippets of my articles with friends and family, and I’m thrilled to join Das Tor as a Staff Writer.” 

David Lugo Robles- Project Manager

“I am David Lugo Robles, a first-year student at the design your own concentration in Smart Cities. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where I achieved a BBA with a concentration in entrepreneurship and a minor in nonprofit management. As part of my student life in PR, I was a student government representative at the University of the Sacred Heart, where I worked on many projects from the university’s Strategic Plan, its re-accreditation process, and many student-led activities in event planning, radio, and video productions. I’m most excited to continue diversifying and developing Das Tor’s potential as a legacy student organization.”

Nancy Machera – Design Director

“Hi everyone! I’m Nancy Machera, a first-year MGM student with a concentration in Data Science graduating in December 2023. I was born and raised in Kenya, where I attended my early education until  high school.  I’m excited about my new role at Das Tor as Design Director because I’ve developed an interest in web design, and I believe this position is a great opportunity for me to make use of my website design skills as well as work with individuals from diverse backgrounds from across the world.”

Harshita Shetty – Vice Design Director

“Hey! I am Harshita Shetty, a first-year MGM Student from India, with a concentration in Global Business graduating in December 2023. After finishing my undergrad in Business Management, I worked as a Finance Associate at Tesco before joining Thunderbird. In my leisure time, I developed an interest in website design while learning technical skills. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Das Tor team and excited to work with the team.”

Sakhi Solanki – Strategic Advisor

“Hi everyone! I am Sakhi Solanki, a second-year MGM student graduating in December 2022 with a concentration in Global Digital Transformation. Having done my undergraduate degree in computer engineering in India, I have refined my cognitive and technical skills.  But I have always had a propinquity for stories and the art of storytelling. Being a closeted writer, I have wanted to venture out and bring all these unpublished and unheard stories to life. Das Tor provides me a platform to share my passion for storytelling and writing, and I’m excited to continue on working in this wonderful team!”

Fabiola Jazmin Solis Renteria – Vice Arts Director

“¡Hola! I am Fabiola Jazmín, a first-semester student graduating in December 2023 with a concentration in Global Business and Nonprofit Leadership. I am from Mexico and am excited to join the team at Das Tor as Vice Arts Director.”

Jake Taylor – Strategic Advisor

“As a native Phoenician, Thunderbird represents everything I hope Phoenix can become – a truly international haven. For me, Das Tor is the literal gateway into Thunderbird life, and I hope to use my experience with creativity and strategic development to augment and enhance the organization’s role at Thunderbird. While at school, I act as student body president and work closely with various clubs and projects across the university. I am currently concentrating in Creative Industries and Design Thinking and look forward to bringing them all together at Das Tor!”
