Alumni Mixer at the Pub

Haven’t been able to make it to a First Tuesday event for valuable networking in the area? Well don’t worry, the Thunderbird Phoenix Alumni Chapter is coming to you!

There will be drink specials and free appetizers at the event, so be sure to stop by and make some new friends and connections.

We will also have a 10 minute presentation from a group that is starting an incubator/accelerator program here in the valley dedicated to helping students gain experience and creating jobs; www.introitsys.com is their website.

Park Howell @ Thunderbird – brought to you by TMA
Wednesday, April 10th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Yount DLC

Park Howell, a “Sustainable Storyteller”, owns a mid-sized ad agency Park&Co in Phoenix, AZ. Park&Co has created award winning campaigns which are more like movements as they are always attached to a sustainable cause. They successfully realize their goal of telling compelling brand stories and are frequently featured in notable publications such as the Wall Street Journal and Stanford University’s award winning “Social Innovation Review”.

American mythologist Joseph Campbell identified a pattern in all stories that also runs throughout our individual lives. It’s called the “Hero’s Journey.” Park Howell, a 30-year advertising veteran and expert in marketing sustainability, will show you how to incorporate the hero’s journey to create epic CSR strategies and stories to share with the world.

What attendees will learn?

  • · Why the mind yields helplessly to the suction of story.
  • · How to help customers find and follow their bliss.
  • · How to use the power of storytelling to nudge the world in any direction you choose.
  • · In addition, you will receive a storytelling notebook to craft your sustainability story using this universal structure.

Feel free to look around his blog and Park&Co company website for some of their most amazing works!
