It’s the time of the year again for lots of great fundraising events! Thunderbird has the tradition where every graduating class will raise funds for a class gift to give back to the school. Like this awesome Thunderbird plate at Sandra’s office! Since it is a gift back to the school, it is never too late for anyone to participate (aside from the fact that you will have tons of fun)!
Halloween Candy Grams: Halloween is one of the most anticipated American holidays, and now you all have a chance to partake in the festivities. Your TSG crew will be selling Halloween grams (please see below for a preview) for $1 each on Monday Oct 28th to Wednesday Oct 30th from 11 am to 2pm outside the Commons. Buy one for your friend or loved one and share the Halloween spirit. Each gram will include a card, a personalized message, and some candy that will be placed in their campus mail box! Proceeds from these grams will go towards the Fall 2013 class gift.
First Tuesday Event: We invite the first 40 members to sign up to network with the Phoenix Alumni Chapter on November 5th, 2013 from 5:30pm -8:30 pm. Cost for this event is $5, and if you intended on applying for the Phoenix Alumni Chapter Scholarship, attendance to the First Tuesday Event will be mandatory. Transportation will be provided by TSG.
Mr. & Ms. Thunderbird: TSG is looking for representatives from each class to compete to become the 2013 Mr. and Ms. Thunderbird. The event will be on November 8th starting at 6pm at the Pavilion! Click on this link to sign up. The competition will consist of a talent, a question, and a catwalk. Participants are expected to raise at least $100 in order to enter the pageant, which will be used for the class gift. Stay tuned for Prize information. In addition, if you are interested in being the emcees (we need one male and one female MC) for the event, we are partnering with Toastmasters for the application process! Please contact the President of Toastmasters, Tiffany Law, at tiffanylaw@global.t-bird.edu. It will be a great professional and development opportunity!
If you have any questions about any of these events feel free to contact Yemile or Tom.
