This past Thursday, Thunderbird President Barbara Barrett hosted an Open House for the Thunderbird community not only to meet the new Strategic Planning Team but also to see the beautiful Presidential Suite in the Herberger Building. Students were welcomed into the Suite with the task of completing our very own “Arizona Passport.” While zig-zagging through the Suite, students found clues about famous Arizona attractions leading all the way to the President’s Office for a photo with President Barrett herself. The rooms were buzzing with students asking what the famous Frank Lloyd Wright house is called or who the football team’s mascot is. In true Thunderbird fashion—the smartphones were busy at work! To top off the beautiful evening, visitors were also treated to an amazing selection of warm appetizers and even a shrimp cocktail and drinks! Being able to all gather in the President’s Suite allowed for some great new chats with other students and administrators. Many students made sure to capitalize on the great networking that was taking place throughout the Suite. It was a night filled with fun, laughs, and some great trivia.
