In the evening of Friday, 12th October 2012, 30 female Thunderbird students came together to celebrate what’s great about being a woman. Elegantly dressed, the ladies took this opportunity to meet with other ladies they had not yet met, while others were happy to catch up with good old friends. Home-made appetizers, chocolate strawberries, and a great variety of exquisite types of cheese, combined with fresh Spanish sangria’s were some of the delicacies women enjoyed during the feast.
The leadership team of the MBA Women International took this opportunity to present the Club’s mission and activities, its team and its host, and invited the ladies to share their backgrounds and future endeavors. Each and every woman shared what their dream was. The authenticity, passion and sincerity of the stories and dreams made the event powerful and inspiring. It was the highlight of the evening.
To me these events are so important because they create the necessary platform for women to connect, discover, learn from, and create new opportunities. More importantly, it provides us with an opportunity to build the relationships that we will need to be successful in our personal and professional lives.
