So you know you are interested in marketing, but you have no idea what marketing function fits you best? Fascinated by the words product development, advertising, market research and brand management, but overwhelmed by having no idea what these different marketing careers entail? The Thunderbird Marketing Association (TMA) will help you solve your conundrum!
The TMA is partnering with the American Marketing Association (AMA) to host a panel discussion on the different areas of marketing. There will be 8 panel members, all from diverse marketing backgrounds, here to answer any and all questions you may have and is a great opportunity to learn about functions you are unfamiliar with, or to get inside information on the area you know you want to go into.
For those who may not know about the AMA, it is the leading organization for marketers and the trusted go-to resource for marketers and academics. It is counted on as the most credible marketing resource where marketers can stay relevant with knowledge, training and tools to enhance lifelong learning and obtain valuable information and connections. The AMA constantly innovates and evolves, helping to shape the marketing field as well as keep abreast of the changing global marketplace to help their members excel in their careers.
The AMA panel members are from the Phoenix chapter and will talk about:
– A brief description of the company and position the particular AMA member is in
– What their career path was
– What do their daily responsibilities in the role involve
– What skills do they look for when hiring for that specific role
So join the AMA & TMA at the Panel on Monday, November 4th, 2013 at 6pm at Lecture Hall 54 and solve your marketing curiosity!
